HamiltonJet, CWF Hamilton & Co Ltd, was founded in 1939 from the workshop at Irishman Creek Station. For the next 50 years, the company followed a strategy of planned diversification – a natural evolution of the innovation and expertise initiated by its founder Sir William Hamilton.

It is only within the last 25 years that CWF Hamilton & Co has focused exclusively on the waterjet part of the business through HamiltonJet and Hamilton Marine.
HamiltonJet emerged as a merger of CWF Hamilton Engineering and CWF Hamilton Marine, the two main companies in the Hamilton Group.
