Engine overhaul - Medium Speed
Granly Diesel has many years of experience in servicing cargo ships, offshore installations and fishing vessels.
The company operates in facilities located at the port of Esbjerg.
Engine overhaul includes dismantling the engine block, refurbishing cylinder heads, cylinder liners, pistons, connecting rods, main bearings and valves.
Cleaning of inlets and outlets, replacement of components, lubrication and reassembly of the engine.
Maintenance of propeller shafts, including propellers and bow thrusters, is also an area in which Granly Diesel has extensive experience.
Granly Diesel has refurbished propeller shafts with diameters up to Ø 250 mm and lengths up to 6000 mm. By agreement, Granly Diesel can disassemble the engine at the customer's location and transport the parts to Granly Diesel's own facilities and refurbish the parts as agreed, reassemble them and transport them back to the ship where they will be reinstalled.
Granly Diesel can also clean and test the injectors when the engines are in for service. Our machines are specially designed to test the capability of the injectors, as the capability of the injectors is essential for the engine's performance.
If problems occur during the renovation, Granly Diesel will contact the owner/captain to clarify how the renovation of the engine should continue.
This procedure is to ensure that there are no misunderstandings between the owner/captain and Granly Diesel, particularly in relation to changes to the scope of the renovation that were not specified in the original contract.
